Basement Hideout

Over the last 50 years there has been millions of musicians creating millions of albums many of which never actually made it out to the masses. Often times the few copies that did get released end up in the basement of local thrift and record stores never to be heard again. In some cases that's a good thing but, whoever made that music did so because they wanted to share it with people. I want to give some of those artists a second chance. I hope you will enjoy what I post on this blog for what it is.

SPACE!!!


Ok so nothing special...today.

I just have a call to arms for all of you budding hip hop producers who might happen across my blog. I love Galt MacDermot and he has been sampled to infinity and back by some top dog hip hop producers. I think this song could have been used in a million different ways and probably a lot better. The song is called "Space" and good ol Busta Rhymes used it in "Woo Hah!" but, doesn't hurt to try and make something cooler right (sorry B)? Take this and do with it what you will. Even if you don't want to make something out of it...give it a listen. Great tune!
